Design Review
Pureit Eco Water Saver features a shiny black exterior with a very detailed and elaborate LED panel.
The front-facing LED panel consists of 4 LED indicators that lend a sophisticated look. The LED indicators provide real-time alerts when the tank is full, when the filters need to be replaced, or when there is an electrical fault in the purifier.
The size looks a little bulky, but that is understandable as it features a large storage tank.
While the design may not be as attractive as the Pureit Copper Plus, it is still visually appealing and functionally brilliant.

Water Recovery Rate
There is a valid reason why this purifier is called ‘Eco Water Saver’.
Let’s see why.
You must have heard that ‘RO purifiers waste a lot of water.” Yes, that’s true, because most ordinary RO purifiers feature a recovery rate of just 20-25%.
This means, for every 1 litre of purified water, an ordinary RO would produce nearly 3 litres of wastewater.
Shocked? Yes, that’s the unfortunate truth.

Pureit Eco Water Saver – Maintenance Cost
We contacted the Pureit team, this is what they have to say on AMC for RO “Pureit doesn’t operate on an AMC model. We believe in providing the utmost transparency to consumers by necessitating a filter change only when the filters have run past their tested life. Electrical failures are rare and hence we don’t offer an AMC, as the fixed cost of an AMC can become very high. We ask consumers to change & pay for filters only when the filters have exhausted their life.”
Filter change schedule?
The filters have a long life of 260 pumping hours. This means under normal test conditions, the device will give 6000 litres of purified water before displaying a filter change alert. Unlike other brands, Pureit filters are not mandated to be changed based on time or AMC. However, the filter change is directly dependent on the usage and consumption of water.
Assuming a family size of 5 with an average consumption of 10 litres per day (2L consumption/member), the device will run for 520 days* i.e. 18 months.
* Purification capacity is 24 litres/hour, which means the purifier would take roughly 30 minutes to produce 10 litres of purified water.
Cost of GKK (GermKill Kit or Filter Kit) – Rs. 4500 + Rs. 300 for delivery & installation.
So, the maintenance cost for Pureit Eco Water Saver RO over 18 months is Rs. 4,800 approximately.

The Pureit Eco water purifier is not satisfactory in water taste, it tastes like tap water. Children feel like they are drinking tap water.
My Pureit water saver took 80 minutes to fill 10 ltrs. And only after 5 months, it indicates changing GKK. GKK cost is 5000……oh my God….it is too much to spend 5000 for 5 months.
